DSC00904 Alisha’s Bio

Alisha Bjorklund is a Young Adult writer with background experience as a Marketing Copywriter. She earned her bachelor’s degree in English-Creative Writing from UW-River Falls. In addition to novels, she has written for school literary journals, mail order gift catalogs, and book back covers.

Born in the Pacific Northwest, Alisha has spent most of her life in the Midwest, but dreaming of traveling the world. So far, she has traversed a large quantity of North America (including many U.S. states and Mexico) and spent three months traveling around western Europe.

When traveling becomes too expensive, Alisha spends her time indulging her geek side. Devoted to many art forms (including but not limited to music, movies, live theatre, photography, and more), her favorites come from Fantasy and Sci-fi. She also loves video and tabletop gaming, as well as animals great and small. She currently plays doting mother to an adorable dog and cat.

Alisha’s endeavors in creative writing began at a young age and has continued tirelessly into her adult life. As an avid reader and writer, she finds inspiration from many books, especially in the Young Adult genre.

Her current novel, entitled From the Furthest Heights, is a YA historical fantasy set in 1955. It follows the story of Ro, an indentured nurse’s aide who escapes the psychiatric asylum with her amnesia patient and, together, they begin a dangerous journey to find a fantastical world hidden above the clouds.
