Happy New Year, everyone! It may be January 2nd already, but the spirit of new beginnings is still strong. In honor of that old phrase, “New year, new you,” I’m going to revamp this blog and start delivering more content, more fun, and more writing tips. Look for the latest part of my Write Like a D.R.A.G.O.N. series coming soon! But now, since I haven’t posted in a while, I wanted to do a little recap.
First, a look back at my last couple of months:
As usual, I participated in (and won) National Novel Writing Month, also known as NaNoWriMo. All through the month of November, I dedicated myself to the most recent project was the third installment in my young adult fantasy series (for a taste of my first novel in the series, click here).
And like many people, I dedicated the month of December to preparing for the holidays. Shopping, cooking, and bundling against the cold was all in the mix, but my favorite part of December is spending time with family and friends. I’m not a cold weather lover, so it really helps to make extra time for warm memories with your loved ones. I hope it was the same for you. If you have a moment, please share some of your favorite moments from the last couple of months in the comments.
Now for some fun stuff. Check out the following links to see how you can make 2014 a year to remember:
Since I’m still a twenty-something, I add this one for all you other twenty-somethings out there.
If you’re not a twenty-something, there is always this one to remind you that it’s not all about resolutions, but rather about making everyday, meaningful changes.
And for those who just want to revel in some beautiful photos, check out this one for a gallery of celebrations around the world as the clock strikes midnight (including fireworks!).
So here’s to a wonderful 2014 that exceeds expectations, makes dreams come true, and otherwise makes us happy to be alive. Share how you’re going to make the new year better than ever in the reply section. I’d love to hear from you!
